Cannot mount Exchange 2010 database
I am unable to mount a database message store on an Exchange 2010 server. The database has been repaired with eseutil /p, /d, and /g. Eseustil /mh shows that it is clean.
When I try to mount the database I receive the following error:
Microsoft Exchange Error
-------------------------- ---------- ---------- ----------
Failed to mount database 'Mailbox Database'.
Mailbox Database
Failed
Error:
Couldn't mount the database that you specified. Specified database: Mailbox Database; Error code: An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The database action failed. Error: Operation failed with message: MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-1032)
. [Database: Mailbox Database, Server: CHEMSOL1.chemsol.local].
MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-1032)
I was able to create a new database and mount it.
I dismounted the new database, copied and renamed the damaged database file to overwrite the new database file, checked "this database can be overwritten by a restore" in the properties and it will mount. However, I cannot migrate mailboxes from the old database without mounting it.
I verified that the user, group, and Exchange Servers are all part of the manage auditing and security log policy.
Any help would be much appreciated.
