ASP.net Menu items difficult to select on ipad, tablets and smart phones

I have developed a relatively standard ASP.net 4 website. The menu items are easy to select
on a PC but when I try and do the same on hand held devices it takes a few tries to get the menu selection to work. Not sure what this is?

First, if you wish to make your webiste mobile compatible, you may have to add the following META tag!

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width" />

Open in new window

Moreover, if you use <asp:Menu>, you may have to customize the menu for Mobile accrodingly!
