It depends on where the RS database is located - if it's on the same server, then usually it's not a problem, since LOCALSYSTEM is a member of the local administrators group and that group has (by default) full SYSADMIN rights to SQL Server. However, if your databases are located somewhere else, it might be a problem.

You can use the console to set up a proxy account to connect to your SQL database - would that work?

    Accepted Solution

    Reporting Services Configuration Manager
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager, go to the "Database" tab, and then select "Change Credentials". By default, it will use the service account (as I'm doing in this screenshot), but you can change it to whatever credentials you'd like.
