Facebook User Name Change

By mistake I choose my business name as my Facebook user name. I now have a facebook page for my business and would like to transfer the name to the page.

If I change my own user name will the name immediately become available so I can attach it to the page?

Or once a name is used is it gone forever?

Also if I do dchange the name will I need to update the Like button on my website?

Hi, thank you for postng a reply. I had got to that stage. But neither page answers my question.

here is the issue, my personal page is: facebook.com/mybusiness my business page address is something completley diffferent.
say: facebook.com/somethingobsucre

I want mybusiness page to be: facebook.com/mybusiness

So my personal user name is mybusiness. If I change my personal user name, will "mybusiness" become immediately availe for me to pickup for my business.
So, it is a url change.

The second link does guide you through it.
It says that you can change it only once.

I agree it says you can only change it once. But my in my personal account (account settings edit user name) , the user name box is still editable. Maybe I set it so log ago that rule wasn't in place then.

My question is more about what happens the user name if I get to reset it.

The rule is "You can't claim a username someone else is already using."

But if "the someone else" stops using it. Will it be out there for me to claim for my business account?
