I just put Windows 8 on a new laptop. &nbsp;Every works well, less one issue.<br />
When I connect to a new network, whether Wired or Wireless, the laptop will not resolve and IP address. &nbsp;I receive a 169 address. &nbsp;I can release and renew but still get a 169 address. &nbsp;I can even set a static address and no connection. &nbsp;I can ping 127 loopback.<br />

A reboot of the machine causes everything to work properly. &nbsp;The IP resolves and works well from that point on.<br />

Is this a Windows 8 issue???<br />

Windows 8 will not resolve IP address until reboot of machine???
