SharePoint 2007 Calendar

I created a SharePoint 2007 calendar  and connected to Outlook, when I dragged an item from my calendar to the SP Calendar in outlook, it took about 15 minutes before it showed up in SharePoint.

I had somebody else from another DoD facility try the same thing and they were able to see the added item right away.

Any ideas why that is and what can be done to speed it up on my end?

Thanks!

The default sync interval with Outlook 2007 and MOSS is 15 minutes, which might explain what you see. This can be shortened, see this;

Failing that you could consider this hotfix, which was released to improve some of the speed issues in syncing calendar participants, though check you dont already have it through auto update;
