Problem with different domains with Exchange 2003 and 2010

Hi there,

I have a problem with this scenario:

A domain X with Exchange 2003 (@x.com) and domain Y with Exchange 2010 (@y.com)
They have trust configured, and internal MX configured.
Has a Routing-Group too.

When I create a new mailbox in domain Y, I can receive and send e-mails between the same domain. But I can´t see the new mailbox in domain X if I configured only mailbox@y.com

If I configured the new mailbox with @x.com and @y.com the mailbox appears in both domains.

I wanna to configure only the @y.com in the mailboxs in domain Y, and continous view in the domain X.

I guess what you are speaking about is GAL sync between environments :)

Hi Rancy,

I think it´s not a problem with GAL because the users appears in GAL, but mailbox in the domain Y with Exchange 2010 don´t receive e-mails if they have only @y.com in the e-mail address.
When the mailbox of Exchange 2010 has @y.com and @x.com the user receive e-mails, even I send user@y.com or user@x.com.
Wait how do the emails get transferred ?
What if you have a user with only @x.com ?
