How can I can reset a profile settings to the default ?

This is a user is getting several documents hidden , even though no one set it to be hidden. the user can unhide those files. But there are scattered in several folders.

I was considering recreating the profile as a way to resolve the issue , but is there is any quicker way to do that and restore the default settings of a certain profile to the default (not the default profile)

    Accepted Solution

The easiest way to reset a profile is to log off the user, log on as admin, rename user account to .old, log out and have the user log back in.  You will have to move stuff back from old profile to new.

Thank you Airborne1128 for looking into this ; what you described is what I meant by "recreating the profile" . I am asking if you have other way to reset the current profile settings.

Unfortunatly there is no way to just reset a profile.  You will have to recreate it.
