Chrome Shockwave and PDF Viewer out of date

Say OS Win7 32Bit.
Chrome complains when loading pdf's that software out of date or something like that  and even if offer to update Adobe and go through with it - issue persists. I have ot choose "use this time"
Shockwave produces unresponsive error. Any ideas please?

Uninstall adobe reader.  Download offline install of Adobe reader here. Get the newest version. Install Adobe Reader.

Shockwave is separate from Adobe Reader.

Uninstall Shockwave. Download offline install here. Install Shockwave.

Restart computer.
