Need advice on color combinations?

On http://coboldinosaur.com/pages/scripts-css.html on the left side of the page is a menu with a simple rollover effect.
One of the things I always seem to struggle with are color combinations. I have a blue/green shift that
means my color perception is far from normal.  I generally go for high contrast which is best for accessibility,
but sometimes my color combinations don't work very well.

So I need to know how that menu looks.  Does it need a change in colors?

Purple, Teal, Yellow, Cyan, Dark Blue, White, & Red all in one menu are a bit much color for me but thats just my opinion...  ( I find it kinda bright and hurts my eyes a lil )

-- I think if you reduced the amount of colors used it may be better ...
( my 2 Cents :-P )

The Red / Yellow / White combo is kinda nice ..
Actually the black font looks clear all over. The white on bright green is clear as well. Not sure why it blurs over darker coloured backgrounds.
#PContent in "css/L3.css" has a reference to 'localhost'.  I keep bringing this up because I get concerned when I see a web site trying to access 'localhost' on my computer.

"I am not an expert but I would say there are far too many different colours on the page."

I Agree.  The vast array of colors and brightnesses make it hard to focus on any one component or to figure out what your doing there...

The only part my eyes do focus on when i go to it is the Black on White section.

Dave, Sorry.  I had a script to remove the reference when I promoted, but it had a bug in it. :^(

Bring it down to just a couple colors, a tab bit less contrast

cd, why so angry?

If you cannot do your own pages without someone else writing most of the code for you, then you should do something where you can be more productive, like selling shoes, or driving a taxi.

nonetheless, i like how content of site is evolving.
why so angry?

No anger; just some good advice to those who should be looking at career options not related to web development. :^)

Some good feedback coming in here.  The menu needs a little tweaking, but it looks like the real problem is with the table.  Too much ego... doing stuff just because I can was stupid and it ended up over styled.  I'll tone it down to a more conservative presentation.

As a result of feed back the table is really toned down.  I left the menu a little noisy.  But with the toned down table it seems to sit a little more comfortable.  Thanks all.
