    If you are willing to live with as the domain, then go for it.

    I definitely agree on that.  I can see a small business using or but it doesn't look professional enough for larger companies to be resorting to free blogs.

    You can pay ($10/month I think) and get a real domain name for it.  It depends mostly on whether you want to be able to really alter themes and add your own plugins.  

    But from an SEO perspective, there is no real advantage or disadvantage of one over the other.
