task scheduler

Probelm with task manager.  It runs but does not run the program correctly.  It says runs fine when you double click the program, but when you setup a task, it does not run the same.  I am pretty sure it has to do with the accounts but i give up.

When i double click it manually, the program is up in task manager for about 1 min.  When it runs in task scheduler, it is up for about 10 seconds.

any ideas?

Sometimes (most?) this is caused by permissions problems.  What code does the task return when run?  What permissions does the account have that you're trying to run the task with?  What does the task/program do?  Are you trying to run it with switches?  Have you included the path to the program?

full path, running under admin with highest privileges.  Trying to run a simple program, nothing complicated.  No switches, just by path.  Using the default path in program files.

Create a batchfile and place the same path in it and execute the same via Task Scheduler. Try this way and advise back.

Even a simple program can run into problems, it depends on what it does.  Is it an executable, a batch file, a program that runs on the console?  I'm not asking to pry into your business, I'm trying to help you.

Sometimes you can get more detail about what is happening by running the program from a batch file, as reach2sandeep said, and also redirecting the output to a text file.  For example:
"C:\Program Files\whatever\some_program.exe" >c:\logs\result.txt

or even
"C:\Program Files\whatever\some_program.exe" >c:\logs\result.txt 2>&1
