Custom Permissions for Exchange Resource

For Exchange 2007, is it possible to set custom viewing & booking permission for a room resource?

If yes, how do you do it?

We'd love to help you with understanding and solving the issue provided you decrypt what does "custom" viewing would mean and "custom" booking would mean?

Anything out-of-the-blue you're thinking of, please explain so we can write up a script or advice you on how-to-solve-custom issues.

OK let me rephrase - I would like to create a resource room called "lab 123", and only allow certain users and security groups to see, book, and open this resource.

Under schedule assistant in Outlook, I don't see it being possible to open permissions of this resource.

Is this possible?

Possible.

Objective#1
only allow certain users and security groups to see

You'll need to make permission changes on Calendar properties for default to NONE
AND Add, you're normal users whom you want them to see the calendar to Reviewer.

Objective#2
only allow certain users and security groups to book
Next, go to properties of the Resource Mailbox and add those users/groups to the attribute
Definition of BookInPolicy:
List of users/groups that can submit an in-policy request for automatic approval - Value is a String: SMTP address; series of SMTP addresses

Objective#3:
only allow certain users and security groups to open

Doesn't make sense cause this resource mailbox wouldn't be sharing its calendar or mailbox with anyone. So, no changes in this case.
