Child Domain Seperated need to seize FSMO

My domain is a child of a forest connected via MPLS.  Someone decided that we no longer needed to share information so the MPLS line was disconnected (with no notification).

This in itself is not the end of the world but I want to replace my DC as it is on it's last leg.  I have seized all but the Schema FSMO which I can not do as I am domain admin not Enterprise or Schema.  Since I cannot be added to either group in the forest and they are not available on the child domain is there anything I can do seize the role or do I have any other options?

This is a Win 2003 server in 2000 Native mode.  Ask for more detail if you need it.

Any help is appreciated.

Interesting!

Are you still in the same company/group? perhaps they can start the line for some time to split the domain cleanly. There are some VPN solutions that may work too.
BTW, now you have seized the roles, you cannot go back to the same network. Still thinking on it.

Thanks for the response. Still part of the same company. It's a large family business run by brothers who have decided not to share.  Will not be joining the forest again so no worries there. Was thinking of setting up a simple hamachi VPN to temporarily reconnect but was hoping for a solution that didn't involve direct interaction with the other region involved.
Anybody?
