What version of MySQL are you using?  Did you recently upgrade?

The have_csv variable is informational only.  You can not assign it a value.  The variable was removed entirely in v5.6.  Remove/comment that line in your my.cnf, and restart the service.

Hi ,
thank you for your post .
here is my sql version

mysql> SHOW VARIABLES LIKE "%version%";
+-------------------------+---------------------+
| Variable_name           | Value               |
+-------------------------+---------------------+
| protocol_version        | 10                  |
| version                 | 5.1.61              |
| version_comment         | Source distribution |
| version_compile_machine | x86_64              |
| version_compile_os      | redhat-linux-gnu    |
+-------------------------+---------------------+

we are migrating a web application from an old version of mysql to the current one.
I've commented and saw that the service is working.

do you know anything regarding the variable lower_case_file_system=ON ? it has the same behaviour. For this one our developers needs a solution.
thanks for your help

As before, that variable is informational only - setting it has no effect.  It is merely a reflection of the features provided by the underlying OS.
