Dear All,
The database server is windows server 2003 64 bit, instaled with MS sql server 2008 R2 64 bit.

all of sudden i started to recieve the Event id 9001 in the event viewer.

we checked the HDD of the server and they are ok, we run chkdsk but we still getting the error (please check the attached screenshot event id 9001).

and on the sql server, when we extract the SQL replication, local publications the SQL hangs and another error is logged on event viewer , Event Id 823 ( check attached)

Kindly advice af all of these are related or not, and what should be done to solve these issues

    Assisted Solution

On the face of things you appear to have lost access to the transaction log file (9001) of one of your databases! You should make an immediate backup of everything on the disk(s) involved and start looking for problems (823).
