I'm sure this idea has been suggested before, but this could be an official plea to the powers that be.
The poink problem is not going to go away without some changes. I suggest the Badgers allow lizards to get Lounge Premium; that is, 300 poinks would allow one to ask and search in the lounge only. They obviously have competent coders; it would be an interesting challenge for them to do this.
Why would they do this? Because the Lounge is an essential part of the site. Most loungers answer in the tech areas and have lots of certs. We review site changes and redirect askers that post here by mistake. We also chomp down on idiots that are occasionally thrown our way. We share lots of popular culture and provide a rest stop for experts and a place to vent. We are also the living history of EE.
Questions are 50 poinks (instead of 500 points). Lounge Premium would be achieved by getting 300 poinks a month. This would end the ridiculous poink passing that seems to be ubiquitous and threatens to turn the lounge into something that it was never meant to be. So please post your opinion on this. I hope to get the Badgers to take a look here. Tell us about what the lounge means to you, and it's historical and current value to EE.
Lounge Premium: this is our chance. I hope you add to it.
