Data Protection Manager problem

My problem with DPM is that I don't know exactly the status of backup:
On the one hand this tool tells me that about 5 TB are already transmitted. On the other hand, it says that only 2.3 TB disk space are in use.
Does anyone know the product to assist?
Thanks.

Do you mean that the DPM shows it has backed up 5TB whereas the Drive shows only 2.3TB ?
If so what all are you backing ?
Did you check the settings on the Backup Job ? and see what does it shows ?

There is a problem.  MS admitted DPM is a wrong solution for this kind of data to backup and cannot handle that.  MS support said that.  15TB with 40mil small files.
Ouch!  Now I need to think of two things on how to backup now asap and what kind of design should be going forward.

So cant you bifurcate it with Folder backup and make the backup into 3 phases rather one ?
