Use Computer As VOIP phone
Hello,
i have two VOIP phones connected to router and to modem.
Instead of those two CISCO VOIP Phones, i would like to use computer as VOIP Phone, because it would have much more functions.
I connected my computer to router (where other VOIP phones are connected), i downloaded few different VOIP softwares, but i am unable to register it to work. All softwares ask to enter domain, account name and password. But I checked configuration of CISCO phones (model SPA502G) and i don’t see that there are password set.
When i click, LOGIN, with WireShark i see that status is Registering SIP 192.168.0.1, it tries 10 times, and then i get message, that it is unable to connect.
Any ideas? What password should i enter, what account name? I tried to use Account Name “testing”, and also tried name of one of the phones.
Thank you
