Modified date of dbf files is not changing when the server is rebooted

Hello There,

I have a problem of Modifed date of following dbf files not changing without a reboot of the server. I can acheive this only after a server is rebooted.

We cannot reboot everytime when we want to accomplish this.

Request anyone to achieve this without rebooting

G:\oracle\te\mirrlogA
LOG_G11M2.DBF
LOG_G13M2.DBF

Please let us know what could be the cause of the issue and , how can we resolve it

Appreciate your Help in advance

Based on the name these appear to be mirrored redo logs.  Oralce always has these open while the database is up.  The time stamps shouldn't change.  A reboot forces the database to close and reopen everything.

Hopefully you are not thinking of making backups based upon a datestamp of the data files....What is the underlying issue that you are exploring?
