SharePoint view drop down not working

On some of our site collections, none of the View drop downs work.  You click on "All Items" and nothing happens.  Same goes for when you click the List (or Library) tab and try to choose a view there.

Any thoughts?

Have the View pages been edited to add extra webparts to them?

Append a "contents=1" querystring argument to the end of the View url as below and tell me what webparts are included;

http://yoururl/yourview.aspx?contents=1

There were problems with the farm configuration and we were able to fix them.  This resolved the View issue.

Farm configuration was corrupt and needed rebuilding.  Worked with Microsoft to resolve.
