Jquery Style Menu in asp.net 3.5 using Jquery 1.7.1.js

Hello Experts,

I'm having issues with one of the Jquery Javascript function
<script type="text/javascript">

        $(function() {
            $("ul.level1 li").hover(function() {
                $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: 0.7, width: "170px" }, "slow");
            }, function() {
                $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: 1, width: "110px" }, "slow");
            });
        });
    </script>

Open in new window

When I try this stop().animate, stop doesn't show intellisense for animate.

Reference:
http://weblogs.asp.net/hajan/archive/2011/01/30/create-nice-animation-on-your-asp-net-menu-control-using-jquery.aspx

And trying to achieve this Menu control under my application. I'm sure Jquery is working when I did $, it shows the  Jquery selector Index.Even tried with older versions of Jquery JS:1.4.4. I'm using VS2008 as IDE.

Thanks,

You need to reference jqueryvsdoc.js to respective version of jquery library
On jquery-1.6.2.js library :
  Addthis ,
    /// <reference path="jquery-1.6.2-vsdoc.js" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.6.2.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
    $(function () {
        $("ul.level1 li").hover(function () {
            $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: 0.7, width: "170px" }, "slow");

        }, function () {
            $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: 1, width: "110px" }, "slow");
        });
    });
</script>

Open in new window

I think, it's only working in VS2010 not in VS2008.
