View 5.1 SSL Certs

I  have installed View 5.1, View Composer 3. I am in the process of installing the SSL on the composer server first.

I have mad a memeber server a CA for the certificates.
When trying to request certificate on the view composer server my CA is grayed out and has this " The requested certificate template is not supported by this CA."

Type is standalone root CA.

how do I fix this or do I need to find another way?

Hi,

it becouse View need some certificated that template you dont have in your CA.

See here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770794(v=ws.10).aspx

then see your templates in CA and add more of thme form base by right mouse button inside tempaltes :)

My CA does not show a certificate templates folder.

certificate templates can only be issued by enterprise CAs running on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008 Datacenter, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, or Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition.

I have this installed on a Windows 2008 Standard. Does this make a difference?
It is seeing it as a standalone CA and not a Enterprise CA.

Best is to go steb by step :)

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772393.aspx

if it is standalone you can do a manual request certificate

i found full guide for you :)
