Dreamweaver Display

I'm having a problem with the display in Dreamweaver.
The code is correct when you look at it in a browser, but Dreamweaver displays an empty page.

I'm having to code everything by hand.

Can you modify your php.ini file to show error information?

Dreamweaver won't render PHP code in design mode.  If your code is all PHP echoing HTML then you will not see it except in Code View.

Just so I understand this.  If I put php code into the code, Dreamweaver will not display the page as it looks?

Not in Design View, no.  PHP needs to be interpreted by a server.  HTML and CSS can be rendered by a browser or browser object and a server is not required.

If you have a testing server configured, Live View will render the page like a browser would but you cannot edit in Live View.

If you are developing on your local machine, install WAMP and then set DW to use the localhost for "debugging"
