asked on

windows support software?

Hi. I have an imac with OS 10.7.4

I need to run windows as I want to start learning .net and C# but I have run bootcamp and tried to download windows support software about 20 times now but it gets to a certain spot on the download progress bar and just hangs there. So, I gave up and just skipped that and installed windows 7 anyway. When I boot into Windows 7, my keyboard works (thankfully) but the magic mouse doesn't work. I also don't have internet access and the resolution looks hideous compared to my beautiful OS resolution. I have been googling for hours trying to find some kind of manual download for windows support software but no luck. If anyone knows how to help me, please do because this is driving me crazy! Thanks.

You need to install the Windows drivers of you Mac.

When you open your Mac ==> Bootcamp assistent. You can say against it to place all the Windows drivers of everything on a CD, USB, ... . When this process is done. Turn of your Mac, boot into Windows, place the CD, USB, ... in your Mac and install the drivers.

This will resolved your problems ;).

ASKER

Hi, I am aware of the fact that I need to install the drivers ie: Windows support software but the problem is that they won't download from boot camp! It just hangs at a certain point and goes no further. I didn't get a disc with my imac so what am I meant to do now? There is no url for a manual download of the support software, only through boot camp.
