FTP Disconnects TYPE A

FTP Server: Filezilla

I have a system that updates our phone systems.  Two sites each with Cisco ASA firewalls have the same phone system.

When we push out update jobs, one site is not staying connected to the FTP server.  Please look at the below logs.  The first connection goes from Type A to Type I and gets the file.

The second once it goes to Type A it disconnects.

Why would it not which to I?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This looks like a log from the server side.

Can you get a log from the client side?

AlexPaceCommented:
The problem is not likely related to the TYPE command.  The client probably just requests directory listings in ASCII mode and files in Binary mode.

I would also double check both servers.  Some servers are setup to only allow binary transfers.  Although I have never seen one setup to disconnect when TYPE A was received. The few I have seen issue a message saying "Only image transfers allowed."

I would also check your client side script.  Doing a cd to what appears to be wildcard file name won't work:

     " CWD GHF_99_99_0_1021_1112.CAB*"
