Export PDF file to plain text

Created PDF file from JPG [all text] with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard...

Opened PDF file in Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and export [File...Save as...Save As Type...Plain Text. Resulting output is blank file. Tried saving as RTF, opening in Word 2007 and saving as text file - same blank file.

Export it as Word Document 97-2003. Click the 'Settings' button and makesure 'Run OCR if needed' is selected. Choose the language. Then click Save.

Hope this works.

Acrobat 9 offers no 'OCR' option in any export menu. I did find an online PDF-->Text converter which did work. Good response, though.

Need to convince folks not to use JPG for text!
