I am developing a business application in 2010.  I am evaluating datagridview which comes with 2010 and componentone vsflexgrid for winforms . Though for basic operations both give apporpriate solution, i find  component vsflexgrid more useful. but the help for the same is not much  like sample codes, projects etc.
can anybody suggest whether it is better to stick with default control by sacrificing certain functionalities

    Accepted Solution

Totally depends on your requirements. DataGridView provides basic functionality without much bells and whistles. 3rd party components provide a lot of extra functionality but if you don't need that then don't bother.

GridEx control is very powerful... learning curve is definitely there. They have a pretty good support form. Sample code is pretty good - also.
