I have been trying to hours to add a shopping cart icon to the 'my cart' link in Magento but it doesn't show up. I've followed the simple css and added it to top-link-cart but nothing.

I am missing something?

background: url(../images/trolley_icon_header.png) left center no-repeat;

Please help me out guys!?!?

    Without seeing your code it's difficult to tell. Double check that your 'My Cart' link has the correct class. Also make sure your images are in the correct place, and that you're not getting any 404 errors on the page (check the Console in Firebug).

    I'm hoping the code you posted is only part of it - you don't have a rule descriptor:

    .top-link-cart { background: url(../images/trolley_icon_header.png) left center no-repeat; }
