Connecting facebook to Wordpress

I'm trying to use "Simple Facebook Connect" to allow facebook comments on my WordPress 3 blog.  I think my problem is in getting the correct settings for the facebook app.  Tutorials I've found don't match the input boxes for the app setup.  Also, do I need a Heroku application setup?  If I do, do I need to customize any settings in Heroku?

If someone could walk me through the steps to creating a facebook app that will integrate with WordPress I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Steve

Simple Facebook Connect's documentation is a bit out of date but the steps are largely the same.

1) Go the Developers Center and create the app:

https://developers.facebook.com/apps

2) Set the site URL and Site Domain to be http://www.yoursite.com/ and www.yoursite.com respectively.

3) Choose Website with Facebook Login for the integration method

That should be enough for SFC.  Use the API Key and App Secret tokens where indicated inside of the plugin settings and you should be ok.

I don't think you need a Heroku app to do this.

As an aside,  have you tried the Facebook plugin instead?  Even Otto mentions it on SFC page as a simpler-to-setup alternative.

Jason,

The Facebook plugin worked great.  Thanks for the suggestion.
