Change
#navigation-narrow-dark .sf-menu a, .sf-menu a:visited {
    color: #DDDDDD;
}
To
#navigation-narrow-dark .sf-menu a, .sf-menu a:visited {
    color: #72C269;
}

change the area above the logo so
Do you mean the text or the background?

For your menu text, the colors are dictated by these lines of your CSS file:

"White" menu text for currently selected page:

Line 1417 of style.css:

#header-top .sf-menu li.current-menu-item a, #header-top .sf-menu a:hover, #header-top .sf-menu a:visited:hover, #header-top .sf-menu li.sfHover a, #header-top .sf-menu li.sfHover a:visited {
      color:#fff;
}

"Grey" menu text for the other menu items:

Line 1388 of style.css:

#header-top .sf-menu a, .sf-menu a:visited  { /* visited pseudo selector so IE6 applies text colour*/
      color:      #cdcdcd;
}

The background color of the menu area (the light gray color behind your menu items) appears to NOT be a CSS properly, but instead it is defined by the graphic here, which tiles horizontally to create the header's background:

You will need to modify that PNG file in an image editor to change the color.

Actually you can just remove this line completely, no need to change it.
#navigation-narrow-dark .sf-menu a, .sf-menu a:visited {
    color: #DDDDDD;
}

Whoops - my post refers to the TOPMOST menu items... I didn't even see the tabs further down the page.

If you want the color green on the selected tab then in
#navigation-narrow-dark .sf-menu li.current-menu-item a, #navigation-narrow-dark .sf-menu li.current-menu-item a:visited, #navigation-narrow-dark .sf-menu li.current-menu-item a:hover {

remove
color: #F1F1F1;
