Build a Default Profile/Desktop for All Users

I have some Ubuntu machines in a computer lab.  They are connected to a AD domain.  On logging in, I want all users to get the same desktop (Cinnamon, Cairo, desktop icon, etc).  When new users login they get Cinnamon (because I set it as the default in lightdm.conf), but not set up like the desktop I configured.  Any solutions for this.  I just want to set up a desktop/profile that all users will be forced to use.

Create a vanilla profile, then copy over the configuration files to each user's profile... I'd imagine there's a way to get that to work via Active Directory.  To avoid it, however, you should be able to put the appropriate files into the "/etc/skel/" directory: new users will get that directory copied to their home directory.
