dual boot linux

I have win7 preloaded on a laptop.
I have 2 unused  logical drives i could place linux on.

I download ubunutu and what next
I follow this?

Sounds like a plan.. remove the logical drive first though unless it is already unpartitioned space.

make sure your dont trash your win 7 install, you might not want to do that.

Another option is to install VirtualBox on Win7 and then create your Linus system as a virtual system under that, you can then easily have different versions to try as well.
