golden gate

I know only this that golden gate is a replication software...
I really want to learn golden gate..

I have a database environment ..

where should I implement that...

at first what should I do...i have to download and install golden gate first or it is inside oracle..

As a new person please help me with the first step....

golden gate is a separately licensed and separately installed product.  It is not part of nor installed inside the database.

You should implement it when ever there is a need for replication of your database.
Ex: for development puporse the developer may need a production copy of data, here you can go for Gloden Gate.

Yes you have to download and install the software, as this is not shipped with oracle database software.
