That sounds like a permissions issue.

What are you trying to save?
Are you saving a report?

Does the file exist on the server and perhaps is open?

DO you get to change the file name in the save?

Does it error when you create a new file or just when trying to overwrite the existing file?

If just on overwrite make sure you have modify permission

Do you have permissions to write to the temp directories and the destination directory?

permissions were wrong, it created a document, then tried to write to it without permissions, had to change the permissions of the folder to allow anyone to create and edit own files.
