Internet explorer not opening in Windows 8

Anyone else having the problem of Internet Explorer not opening in Windows 8?  I have a fresh install on a VM and IE 10 won't open either on the metro side or the desktop side.

    It works fine for me. Windows 8 Release Preview (and Consumer Preview before that). Also Windows 8 in a Virtual Machine (VMware Workstation V9 and V8 before that).

    What happens if you go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Advanced?  Can you?  Do an IE Reset and see if that helps.

    Also, open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator and run SFC /SCANNOW to correct any operating system errors.

    I log in with a local userid, not an email address id. So you might try a local user account.
