Exchange 2010 Topology
2 weeks ago my site was using Exchange 2007.
I went on vacation and as part of a planned migration another team updated my site to Exchange 2010. Upon returning I found problems with the web mail server which is hosted at another site and my site has been having issues getting to our mailboxes via OWA. Once I moved the mailboxes in question back to the original server users were able to get OWA and the Outlook client worked.
Any ideas on what I should check would be appreciated.

what exactly was the problem? I'd make sure the internalURL for OWA is set correctly on the CAS server.
Question is not clear, can you provide more info, like error details etc. and what and where it is changed. If you made any dns changes, then you need to highlight those too.
I agree that some more detail would be useful, but generally the error you are seeing can be caused by not having a CAS server in ever AD site with a Mailbox server for Exchange 2010. It can also be caused by users connecting to a CAS server that is in the same site as a Mailbox server that doesn't host the user's mailbox if their mailbox is on a mailbox server in a different site. This particular problem can be resolved by setting up CAS Proxying. But what does your environment look like right now? We would need to know at least that to start answering your question.

The latest out of the site hosting web mail is that once the OWA server comes up it last about 5 minutes before it stops working and that there are indications that too many sockets are open?
Is there a particular place all Exchange systems must be in AD?
