Import and Read image data

I've imported an excel spreadsheet using cfspreadsheet into my mysql database and I didn't know there were images in the spreadsheet. Is there a way to read the images that were imported? And if so how would I go about doing it?

    Accepted Solution

Your "import" process is a little  hazy... I'm guessing each row contains a bunch of values plus a column with an embedded thumbnail image. So the question is can you extract the image for each row? AFAIK the answer is no, or not without difficulty.  If you just want all images, in no particular order, that might be doable.  Can you clarify?

CF has 0 functions for extracting images.  You can extract all images w/some java. BUT the thread below says images aren't stored within an actual cells and figuring out row, column positions is pretty complicated.

So in summary, extracting all images w/out positions may be doable. If you need their row and column positions afaik the answer is "no" or "not easily".
