Dear Experts: 
 
We are having ubuntu dhcp server, eventhough network printer is assigned with the manual ip address and still the dhcp releases the same ip address to some toher host and ip conflict happens manay time. 
 
could not remove the ip address from the specified range and reserve for the reason the assigned ip address is inbetween the range 
---------------------dhcpd.conf---------------- 
subnet 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 { 
&nbsp; range 192.168.1.100 &nbsp;192.168.1.150; 
} 
 
{ 
host reservations # is it possible to reserve ip of 192.168.1.118 to mac as this ip is already in the above range. 
} 
 
below doubts and suggestion requested: 
1.Is it possible to reserve the ip with hardware mac within the above range or it should be out of the above range. 
 
2. how do i reserve the ip which is in the above range please suggest.

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is an auto configuration protocol used on IP networks and an extension of the Bootstrap Protocol.
