Migrating Transaction logs into another directory in CCR scenario

Hi,

In  my Exchange Server 2007 mailbox server,
I have just build new drive which contains 5 Storage Group directories, I understand that by default the mailbox and the database logs must be separated put on different drive, but at the moment I am still waiting for the new drive to come in. How can I do it safely later on ?

do I just stop the storage group copy and then dismount the database and then repoint the log drive to new location after cut and paste the transaction log to the new drive ?

Moving Transaction Log Files in CCR

1) Logon on to the CCR Cluster
2)  Suspend the Storage Group Copy in the Exchange Management Console
3)  Make sure the new folder path is created on both the Active and Passive nodes
4)  Right Click the Storage Group and choose Move Storage Group Path (This will change the log file location).  Follow the Wizard to point to the new path
5) Resume the Storage Group Copy in the Exchange Management Console

Rancy, many thanks for the quick setup.

but the above link only talks about the DB and storage group not the transaction logs ?

I'm nervous as this is my production email database.

Move Storage Group Path - Means for logs files only.

Check all links and if any doubts shoot back :)

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell® is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

does that means i have to DISMOUNT the mailbox database ? - Better to dismount and work as that will atleast ensure that your DB is in Clean shutdown.

Also would recommend that just before you are planning to start take a Good Backup of Exchange ..

How to Move a Storage Group in a CCR Environment

There are multiple options that you can use to complete the process of reconfiguring the storage group. In addition, each option can have variations as to when the copies of the data are moved. These procedures incorporate making core changes. The changes are:

    Changing the configuration
Moving the copy on the active server
Moving the copy on the passive server
