Windows Server 2012 Datacentre Price

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy Windows Datacentre 2012 - not OEM.

The Microsoft list price is $4800, which translates to £3100.  But the prices I'm being quoted are £3600.  Which seems a little high.

What is everyone else being quoted?

Server licenses vary depending on the geographical location of the server. Also, if you are worried that this price to a little high have you tried getting a quote from another reseller?

Hope this helps!

Tried seven resellers, all come back with well over the US list price.

The question was really to get an idea if others are being quoted above/below list price...

Increased to 500 points, as I thought this would be quicker...

Like a lot of other products, the price varies where you are.. Which is why there is the 'grey market'.. Beware of the new per processor licensing model.. Many times I've crossed the border to take advantage of a cheaper price.. (even after currency transfer costs, duty and taxes)

The idea of the post was to gauge what prices people are being quoted.

I already know the list price and the fact its a grey area.  But because its a new product I dont know if this the price I am being quoted is because i dont have an agreement setup.

Thanks, I was hoping to get an idea of the UK reseller cost.  Looks like its £3500.  We got them for £2750 from a liquidation broker.
