I am using Joomla 2.6.0 and i don't see parameters anywhere - only options but still no parameters there too.

You're only seeing that on the front end because you are logged in as the admin. Log out, clear cache, and view the pages as a regular browser would, you won't see those icons.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Will it work even if our website is currently offline/down because we are in the process of developing it?

Shaunwingin,

Does your web audience log in to your website?  If not, no worries, they will not see any of the edit or publish icons that you see.  You are only seeing them because you are logged in and have permissions to edit and publish articles.

If your audience does login to the website, then make sure they are set as a registered user.  This will only allow them to view the content, not edit or publish it.

If you want to create a new user follow these steps for Joomla 2.5.6:

Go to the Users Menu
Select User Manager
Click on the New button
Enter the parameters for the new user (has to have a unique email address)
Keep the user as a registered user...

Then simply login as them on the front side and you will see what I mean.

Hi, we can remove those icon in the file itself, so that we need not to do it often while creating each article. Just un comment the line which u don't want to display.

This is the file path: components\com_content\views\article\tmpl\default.php

Go to  line number 112.
