Hi, I have to change the SharePoint 2010 farm account id for security purpose.
In this farm, there are three servers, one for index server hosting central administration site and two database servers: one is active and one is passive.
And there is only one id which is handling everything also using same id for SQL server and i have created User Profile service with the same id.
So pl tell me how to change the farm id.

    Accepted Solution

You change your SQL Service credentials through SQL Configuration Manager.

After, make sure the new account has proper access on all SharePoint databases.

    Now change your farm account:

Then you can change all the service related accounts through Central Admin - Security - Service Accounts.  Before, make sure it's registered as a managed account.
