Obviously the Republicans will address this constantly. It is their talking point because they don't want the government to spend money. However the Democrats know that the average voter honestly has no difference between 4 Billion and 10 Trillion and 100 Gadgillion. All just big numbers the government always owes.

From my other post on another question:

Here is a good reprsentation of why all that debt and spending that conservatives cry about really doesn't resonate with the mainstream:

Sometime soon, these countries will realize that they are in debt by a larger figure than there are dollars in the world.  Also that with a tertiary currency system, all this debt really only exists in people's minds in the first place.

This is the mindset of the common voter. It is just crazy big numbers that don't really mean anything and we can just make more money. This is the world over and not just USA too. There is more debt than money and it isn't "real".
