communication: cable tv, POTS Telephony, Voip Telephony, Switchboard, Fiber Internet, DSL Internet, Cable Modem Internet. Satellite Services, Microwave Services.

All require connections, cabling, power, Wire closets, etc, all dependant upon the structure you inhabit.

Cooling and stable, clean power are major requirements.

Yes Furniture is remains
Like Desk , Chairs
A/C Installation.
Server / Desktops / laptops

you require a good System Admin to Handle these Server Configuration/ Specifications For Software & hardware.

Now Physical Networking : Rack & Patch Pannles , Switches & Routers , Cat5-Cat-6 Cables , I/O Boxes & Patch cords.

Choose the Central place of Office and put the Rack & Routers , Switches there.
So all Cables will be centralized there and its easy for maintenance .

Network Connectivity should be proper.

IT talent retention and development - technology evolved and routine administration will need upgrade and motivate staff to self learn. costly training and certification for project mgmt and credential

Security - monitor network and secure intranet  IT resource (not outsource web hosting services), managed removable device (IP leakage and virus carrying devices)

IT asset availability - denial of services due to above not being achieved and end user awareness training needed. In house training program.

Regulation compliance - Minimally need to comply govt recognition of IT company capability or potential to activate  tax saving or request to seek extra research budget and assistance.

IT  community recognition - maintaining proactive participation, good reputation and recognition in IT community contribution. this established the social networks and crowd sourcing opportunity, but not easy achievable as it needs time and efforts

1. Management
2. Funding

Management needs a clear objective of what their requirements are in concert with the IT team.  Define policies and stick by them. Given enough funding and knowing the management objectives then a workable solution can be attained.  They have to work together and not at cross purposes.
