Gmail Contacts - Imap settings with Outlook 2003

Devices and apps I'm using:

1. Outlook 2003
2. Iphone
3. Ipad

I'm trying to get my contacts in Outlook 2003 to sync with my gmail. Syncing to my contacts through my Outlook was working previously.

When I enter a contact on my Iphone and Ipad I see that they do sync. The problem I'm having is when I enter a contact in my Outlook it does not sync to the other devices nor does the contact appear when I log into the web interface of my gmail account. I am using Imap settings in my Outlook.

Thank you in advance for any suggested solutions.
