Disable ADO security Warning in HTA

I have an HTA application that is run from a network share that opens fine but throughs an error "ADO security Warning" when I execute an action - button click - it queries LDAP and another database then prints using local com port. the error shows three times.   I thought I had all of my computers set up exactly the same.  older computer running XP fine.  new computer not ok.  I don't have access to the security settings of IE  - that's where most solutions seemed to send me - and trusted sites in their either.   I do have access to the registry.   any ideas?

Renaming an htm or html to hta can work, but if your doing so already try MoTW.
