I have an HTA application that is run from a network share that opens fine but throughs an error "ADO security Warning" when I execute an action - button click - it queries LDAP and another database then prints using local com port. the error shows three times.   I thought I had all of my computers set up exactly the same.  older computer running XP fine.  new computer not ok.  I don't have access to the security settings of IE  - that's where most solutions seemed to send me - and trusted sites in their either.   I do have access to the registry.   any ideas?

Renaming an htm or html to hta can work, but if your doing so already try MoTW.

looks like it was this after all I had the same in HKCU  but had not searched the registry for all of the other instances ove zones \1 1406.

     [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\1]

thanks for the thought on MoTW - that was new to me and it looked interesting.
