First you catalog the .bkf files then restore. <br />

But what I suggest is to install a VM then install BackupExec and restore.

I have an external hard disk with the D2D backups from backup exec. The server that this drive was originally attached too is not currently functional and i don't currently have access too it. <br />

How can i restore from these.<br />

1) i've tried installing backup exec, however it won't install onto Windows 7 and i don't have access to a server OS to install it on temporarily.<br />

2) i've downloaded the recovery cd which was useless. It found every single USB drive except the one with the bkf files on it, and all it was looking for was a DR file to restore the current computer.<br />

I've tried using ntBackup in XP but it can only open one file at a time, but because it's D2D backup files the data is spread over 30-40 files.<br />
