How to set session time out limit for a XenApp 4.5 Published App session?

Hello there,

We need to published a Published APP in XenApp 4.5 farm to a group of 75 users, but we need to restrict user session to 15 mins - MAX after which their session should be logged off OR reset, so that license is released.

How should I go about setting the time limit on the Pub App sessions?

Please advise.

Thanks and Regards.

Currently we do not have a setting for session timeout based on published application.

It is either Farm wide or server basis.

I agree with the below thread for the same.

Yes , there is no setting for this on application wise , best way is to do server basis, isolate the application with same requirement to same set of server pool and set the ICA -TCP sessions setting.

I am sure you are already aware of how to set this still in case you need :

in the server open Terminal services configuration or type TSCC.MSC in run

it will open the terminal services configuration console,

Right click on ICA-tcp from right side pane and go to properties , then go to Sessions tab , check override user settings , you will see the option to set Active session limit, disconnected session limit etc.

Hope this helps ...
