Create data warehouse report

Hi!

Have this icluded picture i must make for my client.

Have a table, that have all the data i need

Have this query:

SELECT Måned, Kundenavn, ItemName,SUM(AntFaktEnheter) AS Verdier
FROM SALG_STATISTIKKNEW2
WHERE (År = 2012 OR År=2011) AND Måned=1
GROUP BY ROLLUP(Måned, Kundenavn, ItemName)

One field that i miss here is the field called Brand

And how to get a +/- sign on the report ?

Realy need some help, to how to solve this..

I am using visual studio 2008 to make this report.

I guess the screenshot shows a pivot table in Excel. You can create a file in Excel and prepare the pivot table there, but you should make sure that your client will refresh the data after opening the file.

Another way is to prepare this kind of report is to use a reporting engine like SSRS or Crystal reports.

 1. Crystal Reports
 2. SSRS
 3. Direct SQL which is presented as a pivot table - no reporting engine is required.

I must use report services....

Is there a example of only build this in report services only ?

Do i need to build a privot table first ?

I am very new to this things, so i be very happy if you can give me example
of how to build this report from scratsh... Using report services only
